I'd check with local dealers and newspapers to find a used plow. I was lucky and got a single bottom with coltier disc and depth gage for only $150.00. A number of companies build them. Doing a search on any one of the available search engines should bring up a few, as well as ebay. A new plow will possibly run about $300.00 without the coltier and depth gage. Some cheaper models are out there, however they may not be rugged. ....

It is a Kubota and of coarse it will pull a 12 or 14 inch bottom. I normally find a good tiller and deep ripper more worth while then a moldboard plow. ....

If you are interested in a plow, Northern Tool sells a Howse brand. A single bottom 12" sells for $229 plus $80 for the coulter and another $80 for the Depth gauge. Truck shipment would be extra for 365#. Its shown on page 68 of their latest catalog. The 14" is another $20.00. I'm a frequent shopper their because of convenience, their prices are always the cheapest. Some people prefer tillers to a plow. I have several of each and use them all depending upon the application. ....

My little 1965 JD 110 8 hp two wheel drive lawn and garden tractor can pull a 8" brinly plow.
My little 1987 JD 214 14 hp two wheel drive lawn and garden tractor can pull a 10" brinly plow.

So I am sure your BX can pull a 12" single bottom plow. ....
